Ford Econoline Van Research

For the current year, the Ford Econoline van is available in three major body
styles: vans, wagons, and cutaway vehicles. Vans refer to the Ford Econoline Cargo
Vans. The main purpose of the vehicle is to transport cargo, as what the original
Ford Econoline van was made for. The wagons are the passenger vans of the Ford
E-series. The third body style, the cutaway, is the one often used as airport
shuttle vehicles. It has a cab that is open on the rear side. The Ford Econoline
also comes in five basic models.
These models are the E-150, E-250, E-250 extended, E-350 Super Duty(S/D) and
E-350 Extended Super Duty(S/D). Aside from these basic models, it is also available
in E-450 and E-550 for cutaway vans. These models also come in three capacities:
half-ton for the E-150, three-quarter-ton for the E250 and one ton for the E350.
The E-150 model is available only in regular size. The E-250 and E-350 both has
extended versions. Regular models measure 138 inches wheelbase and has a total
body length of 211.9 inches.
Extended models have the same measure in wheelbase but are 20 inches longer in
its total body length. There are currently five different engines available for
the Ford Econoline Van. The engines are: 4.2 liter V6, 195 hp; 4.6 liter V8, 215
hp; 5.4 liter V8, 235 hp; 6.8 liter V10, 265 hp; and a 7.3 liter V8, 215 hp. It
is also available in two trim levels -- XL and XLT.
